Giving to Bard High School Early College

Giving to Bard High School Early College

To provide the small classes and excellent faculty that make the Bard High School Early College program so outstanding and successful costs money--more than the New York City Department of Education provides. The college textbooks, libraries, science labs, tutoring, and college transfer counseling services used by our Early College students cost even more.

Bard College and Bard High School Early College need to raise almost $2.9 million annually— over $3,000 per Early College student—to accomplish our mission of equipping our broadly diverse but highly motivated students at BHSEC Manhattan and BHSEC Queens for upper level college work by the time they graduate. Our model works-our students are highly engaged with their studies and find that they are "more than prepared" for the rigors of advanced college work. We ask that you engage with us as well by contributing today to help sustain this successful educational enterprise that is preparing the leaders of tomorrow.

The Friends of BHSEC Endowment

Fifty percent of all contributions to the Friends of BHSEC are added to the BHSEC Endowment Fund, the interest from which is currently sufficient to support one adjunct faculty position. It is crucial that this fund continue to grow in order to underwrite the additional hiring of faculty.
