Immediate Opening – Biology Faculty


Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) Newark, a partnership between Bard College and the Newark Public Schools in Newark, NJ, seeks applications for a full-time faculty position in Biology, beginning April 2012. 

BHSEC, a national model of public school reform, enables talented and highly motivated students to complete a high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree from Bard College within four years of study. The academic program emphasizes small classes and a commitment to teaching a diverse student body.

The successful applicant for this position must be committed to teaching classes at both the high school and college levels. In addition, candidates will be expected to participate fully in the life of the school, including student advising, club advising, and committee service. Ph.D. desirable, M.A. required; college and/or high school teaching experience required. New Jersey teaching certification desirable.
