Covid-19 Update

Dear Bard students and families,

A healthy and safe school year is our first priority. You will find detailed information about Baltimore City Schools’ health and safety protocols here: baltimorecityschools.org/backtoschool.

Because of our in-person learning programs in the spring and summer, Bard has a lot of experience following these protocols and making them work! We want to highlight a few things:

• Everyone will be required to wear a mask at all times. No exceptions.
• We will have an asymptomatic COVID testing program. There will be a parental consent form for your student to participate.
• Faculty members will use seating charts to facilitate contact tracing if needed.
• Bard is expanding its custodial team to support cleaning procedures.
• Students will be physically distanced in classrooms as much as possible; a specific number of feet between students is no longer required.

At home, families should monitor students’ symptoms every day. We are working with faculty to make classwork available to students if they have to stay home due to symptoms or quarantine. Between school and home, we can work together to stay safe!
