Check the Department of Education&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schools.nyc.gov\/enrollment\/enroll-grade-by-grade\/high-school\">website<\/a> for deadline information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"about-the-assessment-and-rubric-components\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Assessment and Rubric Components<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2026-2027 BHSEC Assessment was created and developed by the BHSEC faculty and administration to assess applicants writing, math, and interest in an early college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our screening process is comprised of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An in-person math and writing assessment. The assessment is 90 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An interview with a member of the BHSEC community. Calculators are not allowed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you require special accommodations&nbsp;for our assessment, please complete the registration form below and provide IEP\/504 documentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students can assess at any NYC-based BHSEC school for consideration.
