Aspen Student and Parent Portal<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aspen is used to house the students schedule maintain grades, record and monitor attendance, maintain parent, student, and emergency contact information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you need access to the Aspen Student or Parent Portal, or to update contact information please email Janay Brooks<\/a>, Manager of Strategy and Logistics with your name, scholar’s name, and scholar’s date of birth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canvas Course Management<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Canvas is the course management system used by DCPS. Canvas will house important class-specific information for each of your scholar’s classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access to Canvas is obtained by using the scholar’s DCPS Credentials: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Username: student ID number followed by @students.k12.dc.us\u00a0For
    example\u00a0123456789@students.k12.dc.us\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Password: Student\u2019s network password (same as they use to log onto their school-issued device)\n
