Bard DC\u2019s Student Activities Center supports our academic mission by contributing to and enhancing the social and cultural life of the school. The Center supports student-led groups and connects students to outside service opportunities and activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

National Honors Society<\/h5>\n\n\n\n


The pillars of the National Honors Society at nationally and at Bard DC, are academic achievement, service, leadership, and character. Students with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher can apply for membership. Membership in any NHS chapter is an honor bestowed upon a student. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ATHLETICS<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Bard DC, as a District of Columbia Public School, is a member of the District of Columbia Interscholastic Athletic Association (DCIAA).<\/a> Students are automatically eligible to participate in any and all DCIAA sponsored sports. If there is a sport Bard DC does not offer, students can identify a DCPS school program<\/a> they wish to participate in and discuss with the Bard DC Athletic Director & Activities Coordinator Kiah Campbell, kcampbell@bhsec.bard.edu<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opportunities afforded to our students extend beyond athletic teams and includes panel discussions, high level sporting clinics, and opportunities to participate on the DCIAA Student Leadership Council.  Our athletics offerings will grow as our student population does over the next four years so we ask for patience from our student athletes during this process of building out our athletics program at Bard DC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to participation in athletic programs with DCPS, students (18 years of age or older) and the parents\/guardians of minor student athletes are required to complete and sign the following forms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
