Covid-19 Update

Bard High School Early College – Manhattan will be closed for the rest of the academic year due to the COVID-19 epidemic. We will resume instruction as soon as New York City public schools are deemed safe to re-open. Please check this website for updates.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION RELATED TO THE CLOSURE
Remote Instruction and Academic Support

BHSEC – Manhattan has moved all classes to remote learning until further notice. Instructors will be in touch directly with students and families via email to share instructional plans. Guidance counselors remain on call and available to students. Academic supports such as the Writing Center and peer tutoring will continue on-line.

Instructional Technology

Students who are still in need of technology to support remote instruction should register with the NYCDOE for internet-enabled iPads. Families who would like to request a device for a NYC student in their family, must fill out this Request Form. Priority will be given to students most in need, and all devices are granted on a temporary basis and will later need to be returned.

Sports & Activities

All PSAL sports are suspended for the duration of the school closure. Virtual club meetings and events will be arranged by the Office of Student Activities, the Smart Scholars program, and the BHSEC Library.
