Students must their upload report cards on their application. Accepted materials include full page report cards\/transcripts that are clear, legible and have the student\u2019s name listed on the document.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New Jersey Student Learning Assessment &#8211; Adaptive (NJSLA-A) for Math &amp; English Language Arts. A performance level of \u201cMet Expectations\u201d or \u201cExceeded Expectations\u201d is preferred on the NJSLA-A for both the math and ELA exams. Private school applicants should also demonstrate proficiency on their most recent standardized tests. Private school applicants should also demonstrate proficiency on their most recent standardized tests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Newark Enrolls&nbsp;9th Grade High School Admissions Test &#8211; administered in February (does not apply during post enrollment). Check&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/newarkenrolls.org\/timeline\/\">Newark Enrolls<\/a>&nbsp;for administration date on timeline.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean disciplinary record (no suspensions; admission may be rescinded at our discretion if student&#8217;s behavior record changes after acceptance)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In leiu of a discipinary record, administrators should submit a letter via email to the cduran@bhsec.bard.edu indicating the student has a clean disciplinary record.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attendance record (no more than 10 unexcused absences or 10 tardies in the previous school year is required)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teacher recommendations are optional (<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1VhiRiEGLdzvYjwVTh3eJI53Ne1lH2zsr\/view?usp=drive_link\">see template<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon submission of these documents you will be contacted for an interview and written assessment if the above listed criteria is met. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sophomore &amp; junior&nbsp;<strong>transfers and students with IEPs are welcome to apply<\/strong>.
