This resource will help you plan your visit in advance and explain how to access the building, what to expect when you enter, and who to ask for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attending an open house or tour is not a requirement for admission to BHSEC. If you&#8217;re the parent of an 8th grader who has been accepted into next year&#8217;s 9th grade class, please contact our <strong>Director of Admissions, Ari Braverman (abraverman@bhsec.bard.edu)<\/strong> for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re the parent of a 7th grader interested in learning more about our school, please scroll down for dates and times of upcoming tours. We will also be hosting an Open House for interested applicants Fall 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Open House for <strong>Students with IEPs <\/strong>2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Open House for students with IEPs has also passed. If you&#8217;re the parent of an accepted student with an IEP and you&#8217;d like more information, <strong>please see above for the email address of our Director of Admissions<\/strong>. If you&#8217;re the parent of a prospective student with an IEP, please see below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students requiring special education services can expect the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-9eb43623-9e10-4c09-a2b9-f8629f486d44\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Personal attention and small class sizes for all students (typically ranging from 20-24 students)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New ICT classes, an engaging curriculum, and the opportunity to earn college credit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In-house staff knowledgeable with IEPs, SE accommodations, and related services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A dedicated learning specialist who works with students on a range of academic support needs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional support for writing and math through staff and peer tutoring<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assistive technology, and help with strengthening academic and social skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The InsideSchools website also offers a nice article with advice for visiting high schools.
