Congratulations on your acceptance to Bard High School Early College Brooklyn, BHSECBk! Your application to BHSECBk and match to our school show that you are serious about learning and seek academic challenge. In order to experience the intellectually engaging community that we hope will be your home for the next four years, we’d like to invite you to visit. BHSECBk offers 2 opportunities for new students: Classroom Visits and Accepted Student Info Sessions. Both options allow students to experience what it’s like to be a BHSEC Brooklyn student.
Accepted students will receive an email by March 10th, 2025 with details on how to schedule a visit. If you have not received this email, please reach out to [email protected] or call 332-233-6800. Classroom visits will be held on the following dates: March 12th-March 19th, 2025; March 25, 2025 and March 27, 2025. Classroom visits are extremely limited and offered only to students. If you are unable to secure a classroom visit, you are encouraged to attend one of our Accepted Students Info Sessions, which will simulate the same experience of a classroom visit, but later in the evening.
Our Accepted Student Info Sessions will address students with IEPs. We’ll have our special educators as well as current students with IEPs available to answer any questions. All information will be emailed to you by March 10th.
Thursday, May 21st, 2025 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Details will be emailed.
Summer Bridge Program
June 30th -July 1st, 2025 (9:00 am – 3:00 pm)
The Summer Bridge program is a two-day informal introduction intended to familiarize accepted students with BHSEC Brooklyn’s academic culture. The Summer Bridge program allows incoming students to get to know their fellow classmates, meet our faculty, and attend classes in the Arts, Spanish, Mandarin, and Writing. By sampling our World Languages and Electives, students will be able to fill out the 9th Grade Elective and Language Preference Form. This program is mandatory.
