Families and middle schools will begin receiving High School Admissions Matches to be determined by the NYC Department of Education. The Office of Student Enrollment will notify families by email that they can log into their child’s MySchools account to view their child’s high school admissions offer. Check your MySchools account or contact your guidance counselor for assistance. You may also visit the NYC Department of Education website for more information.

Students should register for the language placement exam, of the language that they would like to take in the fall, either Arabic or Spanish. The exams last 90 minutes and are administered at BHSEC Bronx after school. Registration closes June 23, 2024. Click HERE to register.
The orientation is intended to give new families and new students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with school culture, our facilities and our neighborhood. While parents and guardians engage in discussions about school policies and complete essential paperwork, students will take part in activities designed to foster connections with their peers. Students should come in comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes. Weather permitting, students will be escorted to Crotona Park. This event is a valuable opportunity for everyone to start building a sense of community and belonging. Click HERE to register.
Due to construction at BHSEC, the Summer Scholars program will be held at Careers in Sports High School – 730 Concourse Village W, Bronx, NY 10451
The Summer Scholars Program is a summer enrichment program for incoming 9th graders. During this three-week long program, students will take engaging and fun academic courses, participate in community bonding activities each day and attend Peer Mentor-led advisory sessions. All incoming 9th graders are required to read Down These Mean Streets by Piri Thomas (book distribution will be during orientation on June 27, 2025).
Bard High School Early College Bronx has a shared athletic program with nearby schools. Fall: Boys Varsity Soccer and Girls Varsity Volleyball. Winter: Boys Varsity Basketball Spring: Boys Varsity Baseball, Girls Varsity Softball, Girls Varsity Badminton
In addition to the Public Schools Athletic League team sports we also offer club sports such as, Girls Basketball, Co-ed track and cross country, weightlifting and esports.

In order to participate in these sports or any PSAL activity, there has to be proper clearance. In order to be properly cleared, the following documents must be filled out PRIOR to participating in said athletic events (that includes practicing).
In addition, this is an informational form regarding Concussions. Please review this and be aware of Concussion symptoms. This will also be given to athletes during the year.
