Our Deans of Studies and our Dean of Students are responsible for academic and student life, respectively.
Dean’s Gloor and Conyers work with faculty to develop a robust offering of high school and college courses and to ensure that students are able to take a variety of courses that meet both the high school diploma and Associate degree requirements. For our course catalog, click here. For information on high school and AA requirements, click here.
To complement our learning in the classroom, the Associate Dean of Studies organizes a monthly Dean’s Hour Speaker series, in which guest speakers ranging from artists to scientists to activists, present their work. Past speakers have included: J. Bouey, Brian Rogers, Mosi London, PhD., Liana Conyers, M.F.A, John Weinstein, PhD., Yawa Agbemabiese, PhD., Brian Gloor, PhD., and Michael Levy, PhD.
If you are interested in speaking at a Bard DC Dean’s Hour, please contact Liana Conyers (email@example.com).
Student life at Bard DC is overseen by our Dean of Students, Latisha Chisholm, who works with our mental health and student supports team to ensure that our students’ academic and social emotional needs are being supported. Extracurricular life at Bard DC is student driven and clubs are created based on student interest. For a current list of clubs and activities at Bard DC, click here. If you are interested in starting a club, please contact Malcolm Battle at firstname.lastname@example.org. For questions about student government, please contact Dean Latisha at email@example.com.
