Parul Kashyap, Ph.D – Dean of Studies, STEM

As Dean of Studies, Dr. Kashyap works alongside the principal to guide and support the STEM academic program. In her role, she is an instructional coach and actively trains faculty in the Math and Sciences to deepen their pedagogical practices. Michael Sigrist, Ph.D. – Dean of Studies, Humanities

As Dean of Studies, Dr. Sigrist works alongside the principal to guide and support the Humanities academic program. In his role, he is an instructional coach and actively works with faculty in Social Sciences and Literature Departments to deepen their pedagogical practices. Dr. Sigrist trains faculty in Bard’s signature pedagogical technique of Writing and Thinking, which provides space for faculty to deepen the literary skills of students while making thoughtful connections. Liana Conyers, MFA – Associate Dean of Academic Life

In her role, Dean Conyers is the point of contact for field research, civic engagement, and specialized programming offered by college personnel. She supports faculty research through grants, partnerships, conferences, and Bard Network collaborations. She provides support in classrooms for faculty to engage students in their research. Through these endeavors, students are connected to cultural and academic resources throughout DC and the Bard Early Colleges.
