2025 Youth Ambassadors of BHSEC Baltimore Receive Governor’s Citation

The 2025 youth ambassadors of Bard High School Early College Baltimore (BHSEC Baltimore) have received a Governor’s Citation for their help in bridging exchange between the US state of Maryland and the Anhui Province in China, two regions that celebrate the 45th anniversary of their sister-state relationship this year. The State of Maryland has charged the seven BHSEC Baltimore youth ambassadors with a special mission to bring over a Memorandum of Understanding between the state and Anhui for future youth exchange, as well as a proclamation from the governor. Their trip, spanning from July 15 to August 1, will take them to Xiamen, Anhui Province (including Huangshan, Anqing, and Hefei), to Nanjing to visit the JHU-Nanjing Center, and concludes in Shanghai. The Governor’s Citation for the BHSEC Baltimore ambassadors was bestowed by Wes Moore, governor of Maryland and the son of Bard College alumnus William Westley Moore Jr. ’70.
