A New Orleans native, Tremaine founded Bard’s early college in New Orleans and led that campus for five years before moving into the role of Vice President for Early Colleges in 2013. Tremaine holds a BA in Literature from Bard College, an MA in Literature from Tulane University, and is currently completing a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
